When evaluating LogMeIn Backup vs. Central, it is essential to recognize that LogMeIn’s product suite has undergone major restructuring. The standalone LogMeIn Backup feature has been phased out in its traditional form. Instead, LogMeIn (which recently returned to the LogMeIn brand after a stint as GoTo) has consolidated its ecosystem.
Today, data protection lives inside the enterprise-focused LogMeIn Resolve Data Protection Suite (powered by Acronis), while LogMeIn Central remains the company’s core Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platform.
